Thames Valley Rural Crime Partnership
In December 2011, in acknowledgement of the challenges presented by our significant rural geography, Thames Valley Police together with organisations and associations representative of our rural community, formed the Thames Valley Rural Crime Partnership, (TVRCP).
Membership includes:
- Country Business and Land Association (CLA)
- National Farmers Union (NFU)
- NFU Mutual (NFU M)
- National Gamekeepers Organisation (NGO)
- ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (AVCIS)
- Datatag
- Dogwatch
- Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner
The aim of TVRCP is to bring together relevant individuals and organisations to provide coordination and strategic leadership in tackling rural crime issues across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire and, together, contribute to reducing rural crime and the fear of rural crime in Thames Valley.
This is to be achieved through engagement with rural communities, enterprises and wider stakeholders to prioritise rural crime issues; identification of good practice and expertise at local, regional and national level for implementation; ownership of specific priority issues by Partnership members allowing utilisation of specialist skills to develop plans focussing on prevention, intelligence and enforcement measures; influencing and developing themes and projects to tackle rural crime issues.

Since the opening of the first office, NFU Mutual has grown from strength to strength. To this day we are still expanding.
We began insuring individuals and businesses outside of the farming industry in the 1980's. Offering our products to those outside of farming has seen our growth accelerate. We are one of a few providers whose range of products extends to investments, pensions, life assurance and risk management. With over 300 local branches nationwide, we're big on local presence

The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales.
We speak for everyone who believes in a living and working countryside.
Through the experience and expertise of members and staff, we promote our members’ interests and influence decision makers to ensure the positive development of the rural economy.

Datatag was established by one of the world's biggest companies in the early 1990s to redress the balance in favour of the law-abiding citizen, and during the last decade statistics show that Datatag is playing a major role in protecting all kinds of property.
The heart of the Datatag system is an electronic transponder that is designed to be hidden on the property that is to be protected. |
