Arrests made in Reading Town Centre

Thames Valley Police made six arrests in Reading town centre during the England versus Croatia football match on Wednesday (11/7).

Two men were arrested under Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1985, and received a fixed penalty notice.

A third man was arrested for causing criminal damage and received a fixed penalty notice.

An investigation into a fourth man arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly is ongoing.

After being granted powers to carry out searches of people under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, two men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and remain in custody.
